Valhalla had been shut since autumn 2019. Anticipation had reached fever-pitch in recent weeks with the seaside theme park teasing an opening date of mid-April, and huge crowds formed when Valhalla began technical rehearsals on Wednesday. The purpose of technical rehearsals is to iron out any issues that may occur, with many appearing delighted to see Valhalla's return and willing to accept any disruption to the ride. Many areas, such as special effects, audio and other structural areas, are not ready and still need tweaks. The ride is set to continue to undergo technical rehearsals over the coming days, before officially relaunching soon.
