The ride was built at Blackpool Pleasure Beach over a two year period starting from 1965 which lasted into 1967 and was bought by then park owner Leonard Thompson for £180,000. The ride opened at the park in 1967 as Log Flume. The ride closed on 3 September 2006. The park confirmed two days earlier that they would sell off the ride's boats for £25. After a week of closure, the ride's water was drained out and site prep for clearing started. On 24 September 2006, demolition of the ride started. By 14 October 2006, the ride's demolition was mostly complete. The ride was replaced by Infusion for the 2007 season, which was built on its former site and was relocated from former sister park Pleasureland Southport after it closed permanently the previous year. Operated from 1967 to 3 September 2006.

Sadly, as the desire for faster, taller and scarier rides grew, the Log Flume’s days were numbered and it finally closed down in 2006. The Log Flume at Blackpool Pleasure Beach closed in 2006. Two pictures from different eras show the very last ride in 2006 to the left and a scene from the 1980s - the anticipation on their faces is palpable. This was the view from the ride on one of the last trips round.
