Blackpool is Britain’s most popular seaside resort while London has been named the world’s third most popular city in the latest TripAdvisor Choice Awards.
The Lancashire town beat off competition from trendier destinations, such as Brighton, Croyde in Devon and Southwold in Suffolk to win the title of Britain’s best seaside resort.
London was the leading British destination followed by Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast and Blackpool.
