Blackpool does not have a nudist beach mentioned in the list. Due to our chilly climate, most beaches on this list of places to strip off are down South. The travel experts from My Baggage have explored 11,000 miles of British coastline to reveal five of the most popular spots among people who are prepared to bare all and brave the Great British weather. One official naturist beach in the very north of Scotland has made the list for those brave enough to bare all in nippy temperatures. The five beaches listed are Sillery Sands, Devon, Black Rock Naturist Beach, Brighton, Crakaig Beach, North Scotland, Studland Beach, Dorset, and Swale Naturist Beach, Kent. Technically, this means that people can sunbathe in the nude on any beach. But the experience is much more likely to be a relaxed and comfortable one on designated beaches that are non-judgmental about bare bottoms.

Blackpool has a number of attractions that can be enjoyed by naturists, including the Blackpool Tower Eye and Viva Blackpool.
Participants are urged to enjoy all that Blackpool has to offer, including a visit to the Blackpool Tower Eye and Viva Blackpool, all without wearing a stitch of clothing.
The event description says: “All in the nude? Tick.
The evening will be spent at Viva Blackpool where we have the fabulous festival suite to drink, eat and dance the night away naked!
The self-contained space which has its own bar and toilets means you won’t need to leave the room (smokers and vapers exempt) and can soak up the atmosphere from 8pm until midnight without a stitch on.
This event is for anybody and everybody over the age of 18 who wants to engage in non-sexual social nudity.
However, it does not mention a nudist beach.

There’s no law against simple nudity in the UK. If you’re doing it with the intent of causing alarm or distress, then it’s a different thing. Nudists are making the most of warm spring bank holiday sunshine to enjoy a get-together behind the sand dunes on the beach at St Annes today. The British Naturism beach day will see the group strip off and embrace their natural beauty on Saturday, hours before a naked swim at Poulton’s swimming pool. It’s something they do on the first Saturday of each month during the summer, and most people who encounter them don’t bat an eyelid, George Booth said. But we are just going about our daily business. Most people don’t bother. Some will look away. But we have got windbreakers up. If people want to come and have a chat and find out a bit more about it, they can.

You can park cheaply at the large St Annes north shore beach 'car park' and there are good toilet facilities. Walk 600mts North on the beach to the area used for Naturism. This is not signposted or limited and it is council approved. The beach is easily accessed by public transport. The nearest rail station is Squires Gate on the Blackpool South line. It is a level 1.2 mile walk south from there. Don't forget your picnic, a windbreak if you have one, and of course your sun block. The sun is pretty fierce on the Fylde Coast Riviera. From the car park you walk out to the beach and turn right. At the front of the dunes is a line of wooden posts. Every so far, numbered bins are attached to the posts. We meet just past number 5.

Naturist Gathering on St Annes beach.
The What3Words for the exact beach location is: woes.model.names.
Driving South from Blackpool down Clifton Drive - passing the New Thursby rest home on the right - at the traffic lights, turn immediate right into the North Beach Car Park.
Walk to the beach front then along the beach towards Blackpool for 700 metres - look for the BN Banners at the front of the sand dunes.
The postcode for the North Beach car park is: FY8 2TR.

This officially tolerated naturist beach is located at North Beach, St Anne's, Lancashire, south of Blackpool.
It's part of a long wide sandy beach along this stretch of coast.
The beach used by Textile visitors and Dog Walkers, and can be used without any problems by naturists.
The status of the area that the Naturists use is an accepted unofficial position.
We do not officially have an area designated for their use, however there is an understanding that if they stick to the area north of North Beach car park and don't have any BBQ's then they will be left to their own devices.
This beach is a wide sandy beach that continues north all the way to Blackpool.
