I am mostly concerned how dangerous it is to live there. In terms of areas I would like central enough to be walkable to the nightlife but not a burlary hotspot and quiet enough to not be on the doorstep of the yobbery and loutishness. If I lived in manchester city centre for 10 years should it be nothing that I'm not used to. I don't care that it is a so called 'shithole' in fact I like that it isn't 'cool'.

Blackpool has gained attention for its rough streets and high crime rates. Central Blackpool tops the list as the most dangerous neighborhood in the town. It is followed by North Shore and South Promenade & Seasiders Way. Moreover, Blackpool has been identified as having two of the most dangerous postcodes in the UK, predominantly FY1 5 and FY1 4. These areas have relatively high crime rates, with FY1 5 having a population of 5,797 and an alarming crime total of 3,414. Blackpool’s overall crime rate stands at 162 crimes per 1,000 people, which is 95% higher than the average rate in the larger Lancashire area.

Of the top 10 most dangerous neighbourhoods in the country, six of them are in London. Outside the nation’s capital, Leeds City Centre suffered more crime than anywhere else. It was followed by Birmingham Central, Central Blackpool, and Leicester City Centre - which also shows that the highest rates of crime are generally in city and town centres. But, the figures also show that Central Blackpool is one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods outside of London.
